POMO Digital product 2024

Studio website

POMO is a Milan studio for creative direction and anti-disciplinary research, working mostly with fashion houses and cultural institutions. Its own language is experimental by default: Arial everywhere, layouts pulled apart, a taste for the digital as something that can be taken to pieces.

POMO designed its studio website. The build had one job: to let none of that language get lost on the way into a browser.

Project pages, set in Arial like the rest of the site.

The site puts that language on itself. Type at sizes that no portfolio template would allow, interface left bare, pages that come apart and reassemble as you move through them, and a measure of randomness underneath, so two visits are never quite the same.

Keeping all of that intact is the work, because a site that behaves this way still has to load fast and hold together on a phone.

Project transitions across desktop and mobile.

Alongside the build ran the studio's research on MetaHumans, synthetic bodies as a material for image making. It stayed a conversation rather than a deliverable, and it is the register the studio and the site share: technology handled as something to open up, not as a finish.
